ANNOUNCEMENT

 

The Cuban Network of Neuroimmunology (CUBANNI) and the Cuban Neuroscience Society, under the umbrella of The International Society of Neuroimmunology, announce CUBANNI 2017: Fourth International Workshop of Neuroimmunology and the First International Meeting of The Cuban Network of Neuroimmunology. In addition, the program will include in parallel the VIII International Symposium of Hereditary Ataxias and other neurodegenerations, the First Workshop on Epigenetics, biomarkers and interventions in demyelinating diseases and the Symposium on Current tools on Neurointervention and Technologies in Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience. This meeting will be held on June 10th to 14th, 2017 at Conference Center of Blau Marina Varadero Hotel in Varadero, Cuba. The program will look for a major visibility of research groups working in this field in Latin America and around the world.

Call for Abstracts
  • The Organizers suggest to save the data for abstract submission.
  • Please, indicate clearly the meeting (ex. Fourth International Workshop of Neuroimmunology), the form of presentation as well as the main issue related to your abstract. Authors may present more than one abstract for the program.
  • English will be the official language of the meeting and oral presentations will be given priority to be accepted. The Organizing Committee will inform authors via e-mail on the acceptance of abstracts 30 days after the deadline.
  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: March 30th, 2017.

  • Cuban delegates must send their abstracts by e-mail to: Elena Noris (anoris@infomed.sld.cu) and Lourdes Lorigados (lourdesl@neuro.ciren.cu)
  • Instructions for Abstracts: Authors should provide their abstract in Word format (Single space). Title: in Black, Arial 12, No capital letter. Abstract text in Arial 10. Authors: Last name and first letter of the name, authors separated by comas (in black, Arial 10). The name of the author who will present the work should be underlined; e.g. Rodriguez ME, Valdez Fernandez V. Institutions, addresses and e-mail following the names. Abstracts should contain a brief introduction, materials and methods, the results achieved in research and conclusions, all in no more than 250 words.
Registration
Registration fees support the access to all scientific meetings and sessions, the printed program, the abstract book, certificates of attendance, coffee breaks, welcome party and the farewell activity. Registered accompanying persons will have the same rights that delegates. Registration fees do not include insurance which you should pay in euros using credit card online. Payment in cash at the Convention Registration Desk should be only previously agreed with the Organizing Committee.
Pre-registration is possible by filling and returning the form enclosed to the Organizing Committee. Delegates should pay in advance the registration fees to confirm early registration (still unavailable). Payment must be done online or by bank transference to:

  • The Organizing Committee suggests organize your housing at Blau Marina Varadero Hotel,  a beautiful resort located in Varadero, near the Hicacos ecological reserve, where the meeting will be taking place, and take the chance of  the touristic package offered by the partner agency and the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee also recommends delegates to arrive in Cuba by June 9th or before in order to be booked one night in Havana and take colective transfer to Varadero early in the morning on June 10th.
